travel north america united states ohio solon
Solon is a city in southeastern Cuyahoga County, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, it is a part of the Cleveland metropolitan area.
In 1820, the first settlers arrived from Connecticut to live in part of the Connecticut Western Reserve.
We spent time here in 1980 researching my genealogy which included one of the first settlers.
One of my ancestors, Sanford Holmes Bishop, was an official in this town.
His relationship to the Oliver Wendell Holmes family is how the Holmes name was passed down through my family and became my middle name.
